Advocacy Involving Provincial Offences Including Traffic Tickets or Bylaws
The Ontario Court of Justice hears virtually all provincial offences matters as well as offences against municipal by-laws. Examples of such cases include:
-
Highway Traffic Act charges such as speeding or traffic violations;
-
Conviction on provincial offence infractions or municipal bylaw violations may result in significant fines, insurance affects, and possibly character or long-term reputational scars that can cause social reputation, affect future employment or business opportunities, among many other serious concerns. Accordingly, vigorously putting forth a defence against such charges and holding the Crown or prosecution to the burden of proving the allegations, “beyond a reasonable doubt”, may be of utmost importance and deserving of the experience and skills of a well qualified professional advocate.
